3-step process
1. About 30-minute video interview with recruiter with basic screening questions around work experience and salary expectations.
2. 1-hour video interview with recruiter, 1 National Manager, 1 Management Consultant and 1 IT guy. I was asked to prepare a case study for presentation.
3. Another 1-hour video interview with same National Manager and Management Consultant from Germany who previously interviewed me.
Overall process took more than 2 months which is ridiculous for a company like Mercedes (their slogan is Best or Nothing huh).
There was a 3 week gap between steps. After my last interview they took abother 2 weeks to give me the outcome of the process. This is because their hiring manager wanted to go on vacation and couldn't make a decision.
I was advised that MB Canada is investing in Data Analytics for which they are building a team. However, when I asked more about role and responsibilities, I was given very vague responses. They asked open-ended questions about the position which is expected but how can a candidate relate to the role if hiring manager is clueless about the type of candidate they are looking for and job description is unclear?
There was a mangement consultant from Germany involved in the hiring process as well which didn't make sense since the role was focused on MB Canada customers.
