I applied through college or university. I interviewed at Microsoft
Interview
A very good experience even if you don't end up getting an offer. They give you lots of free stuff and let you explore the Redmond campus. Also, all the interviewers were very pleasant and made me excited to potentially work there. You will get to meet with principal software engineers in the later interviews,.
I applied online. I interviewed at Microsoft (Haifa) in Nov 2018
Interview
One technical/personal interview with an engineer and another one with the team leader.
The first interview was nice, nice chemistry with the interviewer and not difficult questions (from crack the coding interview). Second interview was ok, also not too difficult.

I applied through college or university. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Microsoft (Redmond, WA) in Nov 2018
Interview
Started with an on-campus interview, was asked a LC-med and solved it. Heard back two weeks later and was told that I made it past the interview, but that there were no slots available to interview.
A week later was given an option of two dates (picked Nov 30) so I had a month to prepare.
Asked a mixture of design, behavioral, and technical questions. Everything was paid for / reimbursed so that was nice.
If you can do LC easys, and medium easy you should be fine.
There were 4 back to back 45-min interviews.
