One of the worst experience with N26 overall. This position has been open for months now and they seem to recycle job posts. I have applied for a job with N26 few times but unfortunately didn't get shortlisted. I'm fine with that but what strikes me the most is the way they communicate:
1) Your application will be reviewed by humans - no, it won't. You get the same generic message as with others who use same recruiter tools.
2) When they reject you it is, as they say, because they have a strong pool of candidates who fit better - no, they don't. If they do, job opening wouldn't be vacant for 6+ months.
3) Their recruiters are usually people who, for various reasons, couldn't hold a job for a more than a year, so it is really strange when they say you are not a good fit. I mean, how would they know. :)
All of this would be fine if they conduct the recruiting process as they should - task + phone(interview) and then if you are not fit, that would be good feedback.
They try so hard not to be like big old banks but in the recruiting process, they act worse than big banks ever did. Thank God there is fintech that have a much better corporate culture overall and they treat their (potential) employees much much better.
