Interview
For me interview process was first basic HR interview then 1 technical interview was scheduled after around 15 days.
On the day of the interview, I got a call an hour earlier than the scheduled time. When asked, I got to know that they had the day-light saving thing in their timezone. Although I had already sent them the confirmation email with my native interview time. They should have corrected it at that moment.
The interview got rescheduled after another 12 days. This time I couldn't check my calendar and missed the interview because of some important release at my work.
Interview again got rescheduled after 8 days. This time I came early just to attend the interview but didn't receive any call from interviewer. After waiting for 15 mins, I pinged the HR person. To my surprise, according to HR, interviewer was also waiting for that time but he didn't call me. So unfortunately interview did not go through this time as well.
Finally I got the mail that due to rescheduling multiple times, the interview is cancelled now and they are not going forward with my profile.
I would like to give N26 a few advices :
1. Don't assume everyone is aware of the Day-light saving time and it is your responsibility to communicate the date/time properly in their native timezones.
2. Please don't make the candidates wait for extended period of time just for the interview. Schedule it as fast as possible or at least make some changes in process to give them an online test to complete first.
3. Communicate clearly, who is going to call whom, and if candidate is required to call the interviewer then let him/her know in advance.
I feel the process is not good and employees should have some professionalism. Sometimes they don't even respond.
Overall a very negative experience.
We're sorry to hear that you feel this way about your interview process. It seems that there were technical, scheduling and communication issues during your entire interview process and on behalf of the recruitment team we apologise for this. We have since flagged this with the hiring team and want to thank you for sharing your experiences. We are currently educating all the hiring teams on the importance of candidate experience and your advices have been taken into account. Many thanks.
