I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at N26 (Berlin) in Jan 2019
Interview
Unprofessional attitude towards interview.
I was asked about software unit-testing, told them about TDD, basic java libraries and techniques.
Their answer was sorry, but you were too talkative, not up to point.
I write java tests as long as 5 years and they just declined my unit-testing basic answers. Stupid interview
Thanks for sharing your feedback with us. Over the past months we have made it a priority to give all rejected candidates constructive feedback. You can go back to your recruiter and ask them to provide you with further explanation to better understand the reasons.

Interview
The good:
-The recruiter was very polite and friendly
-Developers seemed professional and knowledgable
The bad:
-Absolutely zero feedback
The worst:
-Unclear what they actually expect from candidates so in general the process seemed very disappointing to me. I'll explain:
First the usual recruiter phone filter. Discussed about my experience, motivation and some info about the company such as their tech stack and such. At the end of the call, she confirmed she'd like to move forward to the next filter.
Received an email with specifications for a small project. I think the problem was interesting but it does require some of your time like many people here say.
After a few days the feedback email came and they invited me to a technical interview with a couple of other senior devs. Overall it was a good talk, focused on my experience some other questions relevant to them, each time getting deeper depending on what you know best.
Some days later I received an email inviting me to a last interview, this time with the CTO. At first I thought this was just a formality. He talked about the company, their current goals and asked me very general questions about my experience. I got a chance to ask him several questions and then it was done.
Later I got a call from the recruiter. To my surprise, she told me that they were not moving forward with my application and that they couldn't give me any feedback whatsoever. I didn't even know what to say because there was no clear reason for the CTO to reject me after I already aced the other technical and behavioral interviews. I got the feeling that there was a hidden motive but I guess I'll never know.
This was almost a year ago. I recently re-applied to the same position and this time they didn't even consider my CV.
I honestly don't understand this company.
