I applied through college or university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at NVIDIA in Aug 2011
Interview
Review the CV at the beginning
and then let me ask questions about their group and company
technical question:
1. what's the logic of a mux
2. how to realize x and y by just using mux and inverter.
3. how to code a mux in verilog
4. how to detect a sequence and how to reduce the number of registers needed.
The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at NVIDIA in Feb 2009
Interview
NVIDIA usually has 2 rounds of phone interviews before they call someone on-site.
All interviews are completely technical . The phone interviews are relatively easy. You need to know your fundamentals VERY well.
The onsite interview is a series of interviews without rest. You will be offered lunch but will probably be too busy talking and will not have time to eat.
The process took 2 months. I interviewed at NVIDIA (Santa Clara, CA) in Mar 2011
Interview
I had an on site interview at my college campus which involved a sheet of technical design questions. In about 2 weeks I was contacted to arrange 2 phone interviews. After two 30-45 minute phone interviews I was invited to fly out to Santa Clara, CA to interview on site. The on site interview consisted of 5 one on one technical interviews which were extremely similar to the phone interviews. Overall it was a very technically oriented interview process and I would make sure you know your stuff (design-wise) when going into any of the interviews.
