intense 5 itws with 5 different people, all just unstructured chats about the role. One technical discussion that involved some math. Initially got rejected after last interview when I messaged the manger for an update. They then changed their mind and I got offered the job a few weeks later. Then a week later they said they were having a hiring freeze and rejected me again. Very unprofessional experience in so many regards.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Mostly questions about my past projects. Technical ones included some math overview neural nets and different activation functions etc
It seemed to me the interviewers were looking to prove that you're a liar. I interned for a big tech before and the interviewer seemed to be skeptical about this. why would i lie about my experience?
They expect you to know about CUDA extensively? weird.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at NVIDIA (Santa Clara, CA) in Nov 2024
Interview
I previously interned at NVIDIA, so the interview focused primarily on my past work. It was a behavioral round with two main questions followed by a discussion. I didn’t get selected for the next round.
