Little to no reasoning when receiving feedback during the interview process. The communication felt rushed and lacking in transparency. While the brand itself is respected, the overall interview experience left me feeling undervalued and without clear direction. Expectations and next steps were not well explained, making it difficult to gauge how my skills aligned with their needs.

They asked me to describe a time I had to manage multiple priorities at once and how I decided which task to focus on first.
I applied online. I interviewed at New Balance (Amsterdam)
Interview
In one word: Ghosted.
After a first phone interview which I was promised to get feedback in less than a week, it’s been several months and I haven’t heard from them again. It’s frustrating when companies do this, but I didn’t expect such a reputable company to do something like that – it’s a huge red flag, and it even changed my vision towards one of the brands I used to admire the most…
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Can you walk me through your day-to-day at your current job?
Disappointed — twice now — with New Balance’s recruitment process.
After completing interviews, both times there was zero follow-up. No call, no courtesy email, nothing. For a global brand, this level of candidate communication is well below expectation.
Recruitment isn’t just about filling roles — it’s about representing the company’s values and treating people with basic respect. When candidates invest time preparing, attending interviews, and engaging with your process, the least they deserve is a simple “yes” or “no.”
It’s frustrating to see such a well-established company allow poor candidate care to undermine its reputation. One bad recruitment experience can turn people off a brand completely — and in my case, two have done exactly that.
