Their recruiter reached out to me via LinkedIn. We had a brief ten minute screening call, then I was invited to come in for a sit-down interview.
Met with VP, Director, and fellow analyst. They were cordial and probing, but all in all were quite pleasant.
The recruiter was the issue. She would give a timeline and continually move it back. After waiting for a response for what felt like a lifetime, she emails me saying they were putting recruiting “on hold,” and that she did not know why or when they would be reaching out again . Even though everyone I spoke with spoke of a pressing need for the position.
It was odd, mostly because I received positive marks from the interviewers but was given wishy-washy feedback from the recruiter. Would have been better just to have told me I didn’t get the job so I could get a measure of closure and move on. Instead the recruiter routinely failed to communicate with me in a timely or effective manner. Felt I was left hanging.
