I applied through college or university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at PayPal (San Jose, CA) in Aug 2015
Interview
Contacted the recruited and submitted resume on campus.
Got a call within few days to set up interview.
Had two rounds of phone interview.. and then onsite interview.
Questions were pretty average, and not very generic interview questions. Tested your overall skills. Interviewers very quite helpful, and manager was good.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at PayPal (San Jose, CA) in Sep 2015
Interview
I am referred by an employee and got a call from project manager regarding interest and general questions. Later a telephonic interview which is stressed much on heaps. Then called onsite for 5 interviews which are mostly on heaps, arrays, hash maps, restful design, java basics, some backend design and a tree question. A decent coder can crack the interview which is not at all difficult. Later a Skype interview with hiring manager led to an offer.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at PayPal (San Jose, CA) in Feb 2014
Interview
Initially contacted by the manager. Had a small conversation with the manager and then initial technical phone interview. Basic java questions were asked.
The second round was 6 interviews 45 mins each. Questions mainly focused on core java concepts, design pattern and web services. Also, at Paypal, they give importance for enthusiasm and interests shown by the candidate.
