I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Primark (Perth, Schottland) in Aug 2012
Interview
The interview lasted roughly 20 minutes and included pretty simple, standard interview questions. A lot of emphasis is put on teamwork and customer service questions, including scenarios asking you how you would deal with certain problems regarding customer service. Learning about the company beforehand, especially its history, impresses the interviewer.

Question 1
Describe a situation where you have worked as part of a team.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Primark (London, England) in Nov 2014
Interview
Waited in the canteen for about 5-10 minutes until I was called into the office. One on one interview was very calm. You could tell that they don't particularly care if you are experienced or not because her focus was on my shifts, whether I study and how that would fit into working. She asked me simple questions like examples of working in a team, how I would organise her cabinet of files (colour coded, alphabetical etc). Less serious questions were like my hobbies, where I see myself in five years and what Primark has to offer that is different to other brands. After the interview it was quite clear that I got the job because she asked me for my passport to scan and NI number. She then said that I had another task where I was taken onto the shop floor to organise a messy area. They gave me 20 minutes to fix the makeup section as best as I could and on that they would judge whether I was fast paced for the company. But I also think it was just to get some extra people to clear up for free.
