I applied in-person. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Publix (Daytona Beach Shores, FL) in Apr 2015
Interview
I applied at the machine at the store. I was busy for about a month with interviews with other places, but got a call from a different Publix store than the one that I applied to asking for an interview in a few days(I guess it automatically considers you for stores in the vicinity). I would hardly call it an interview though- it was very easy and I felt as if they had already decided to hire me before I even walked in. I brought my resume, but the manager only asked me a handful of questions and then had me do a drug test. The results came in a few days later and I was called and set up a time for orientation. (by the way- I think having a reference from one of my friends at that store is what distinguished me from other candidates. If you know ANYONE who works at Publix, put their name when you apply at the store)
