I applied in-person. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at Publix (Orlando, FL) in Feb 2017
Interview
I applied about a month after I turned 15 years old. I didn't actually get the job until 4 months after. I HIGHLY recommend that you go in and speak to a manager every 2 weeks. Dress nicely, (managers eat that up!) Tell them your name, and that your interested in working for the company. Shop often in the store that you want to work at, that way they know you show support for the company.
After a few months, they will call you on the phone for an IN-PERSON interview. You shouldn't need a resume but bring one just in case. They will ask you what you like to do for fun, what are your hobbies, and why you are interested in the job. BE HONEST, don't say what you think they want to hear, rather just be yourself.
After the first interview BE PERSISTANT. After my initial interview, I was told they would call me the very nexy day, they did not. I ended up calling them after 6 days, and they scheduled me for a second interview. They told me that they only conduct a second interview if you call them first.
If you are selected for a second interview, it means you got the job. They don't tell you this because **they drug test you on the second interview**. This is when you'll be given a nametag, and they will schedule you for a training day (which will take place at a different store).
Training is usually from 9:00AM to 3:00PM, and you are given free lunch AND paid for the time you are there. (I.E if you make $9.00/hr, you will be paid for 6 hours minus a 30 minute lunch break).

JUST BE YOURSELF!! If you're nervous, they'll pick up on it and call you out. Be natural, relaxed and calm.
I applied through the computer online. Took 6+ months to get an interview with the manager, the manager brought me to the back and only asked me a question. Was hired immediately.
