I applied in-person. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Publix (Miami, FL) in Mar 2012
Interview
Very easy, mostly a tell me about yourself situation. A few questions about past experiences. My fiancé worked there at the time so I already knew the manager somewhat. I first met with the Customer Service manager and then the store manager at a later time who administered a drug test.

I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Publix (Miami, FL) in May 2011
Interview
It was very informal. The store manager directly hired me after asking me about my schooling (I was 16 and in high school), availability, what I wanted to do in life, etc. He went on a tangent to talk about University of Florida football. I was given an oral drug test the same day as the initial interview and filled out the required paperwork for hiring based on a passed drug test.
