I applied online. I interviewed at Qualtrics (Seattle, WA) in Aug 2018
Interview
Pretty typical interview process, as described by "cracking the coding interview" book:
2 rounds of coding questions: problems like binary tree traversal, BFT, DFT algorithms. Overall medium level of problems at LeetCode
1 architecture interview for designing distributed system
1 interview for personal qualities (behavioral interview)
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Describe situation where you had conflict and you resolved it
Great! It was a bit difficult when it comes to wording but the recruiter was friendly and helpful and I was able to solve it since it had easy implementation. That's about it really nothing else to talk about. I built an OS a while back so that helped a lot plus my network programming class too.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Find a palindrome in any string that is not arranged
There was a screening coding interview first, later followed by three hours of coding interviews. The questions were decently hard, but the thing that made it difficult was how long it was. The three interviewers that I talked to were all pretty nice and considerate of the less than ideal circumstances! All the interviews I did were virtual because of COVID, but if I'd made it to the next round, I believe that there would have been an onsite interview.
