I interviewed at Roche (San Francisco, CA) in Jan 2021
Interview
First, I was emailed by a recruiter. Then, I had a phone interview with HR. The questions were pretty easy and general, none of them related to the position. Then I had a Zoom interview with a Hiring manager; the questions were also pretty easy. Both interviews took 20-30 minutes and was a very seamless process.

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Roche (Pleasanton, CA)
Interview
First was a 30 min phone interview, which was all technical questions. Next, the on-site interview was conducted by the supervisor, who was very focused on "big picture" understanding and a firm grasp of fundamental scientific principles.

What is the first law of thermodynamics and how is it applicable to ____ process?
I applied online and got notified a couple of weeks later that I have been selected for the interview. It was a first interview with the manager. She asked basic questions about myself and my experience, nothing too technical. They were proving my personality and if I was a good cultural fit. She immediately said she had enjoyed talking to me and she wanted me to talk with the rest of the team. I interviewed with everyone in the team, and the supervisor of the entire team. All of these were 1-1 interviews through video. They were all very basic questions, nothing too complex. They were really looking for a cultural fit more than anything else. I got the offer a couple of days later and joined. It was a very nice experience.
