I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at SAIC (Alexandria, VA)
Interview
Hiring processes are highly varied. HR has little-to-no role. Expect to identify your experience in detail, to have certifications often required for key government support roles.
I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at SAIC (Fairfield, NJ) in Aug 2011
Interview
Interviewed by two individuals, one who just sat there as if they didn't know what to do. The other very brusk and military-like. Shot questions and then cut off answers. Should have know they were desperate to hire any warm body to fill the chair. Barely allowed to ask any questions.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Mostly, the interviewer explained the position requirements, and whether I thought I could handle them.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at SAIC
Interview
After submitting my application online, I received an email to schedule a phone interview with the manager of the team. It was a 30 minute interview, basic get to know you questions, nothing technical. Overall a very pleasant process.
