The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Siemens Digital Industries Software (Pune) in Mar 2008
Interview
Siemens PLM has a record that it mostly takes resumes from Consultancies instead of in house referrals. I got a call from consultant regarding the openings for this position in Teamcenter Engineering. Eight days after the initial tele talk with the consultant, my interview was scheduled. The first round wa telephonic and was one of a lifetime experience. The interviewer grilled me nicely over my thought process. He asked about what I intended to achieve in life, why I choose Computer Science, what I want to gain from his company, why he should take me in, why didnt I choose some other company, what my goals where. He could prove that I was a very wrong person in the right field.
Followed by this telephonic interview I was called for a Face to Face round and a written test. In this phase I was asked questions about C++ basics and some advanced concepts in written test and then came the face to face tech panel round. I was asked about inheritance - was handed over a pen and asked to write an interface ( class ) for the pen. Then the interviewer tried to know about the architecture of my product and my role in the product. He also asked some advance C++ question and tried to confuse me on some fundamentals. My expected CTC, the responsibilities I am looking for. I never revealed the client I was working for, which was very much appreciated by the interviewer . He also appreciated my confidence, which he was noticing probably in my answers.
