The Onsite Interview was very professional and easy. But there were a few red flags during the interview:
1. The first flag was the fourth interviewer asked me how is the job market? (I was like why are you asking me this? Did you already pick the candidate you wanted?, or are you looking for another job yourself?)
2. The hiring manager kept referring to the role as a Laboratory Engineer, not Hardware Test Engineer (Is this role called Hardware Test Engineer as shown on Siemens career site?)
3. Hardware Test Engineer job description on the Siemens career site has a typo(Says you are looking for a Hardware Engineer. Which one is it?)
The team was nice and professional. but I do not believe they actual understood what they were looking for. I talked about my eight years experience in Hardware Testing during the interview and even gave examples of my experience.
Also, I did not get asked any technical questions related EV since this role involves testing EV systems and components (Fourth red flag). Its like they are looking for a technician but is covering it to look like an engineer role. The interview just did not seem like a Hardware Test Engineer interview.
I got a rejection email yesterday saying they decided to go with other candidates. Which tells me they have no clue in what they are looking for. Maybe they wanted a least experience person i guess.
The whole interview was a complete waste of time.
