HR is nice and professional. Start with introduction of the company and the role. Seems very accommodating. The questions are reasonable. If one prepares well, should be able to get into the next round.

Question 1
what is your skill set in HTML, CSS, JAVASCRIPT, SQL
I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Sun Life in Jul 2022
Interview
1 meeting with HR. Told them my salary expectations. I was told, "we can be competitive with that."
1 interview with hiring manager
6 weeks later HR calls to prepare an offer. Ask my salary expectations and again says, "we can be competitive with that."
1 week later they offer 15-20% lower than my ask and less than I make now. They declined to offer anything more. Big waste of everybody's time.
Use personality tests in screening. Junk science . Lazy and disinterested process. If the selection process can’t put in the effort, it’s hard to believe they are any more engaging in the rest of the organization
