I applied in-person. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at T.K. Maxx (Llantrisant, Rhondda Cynon Taff, Wales) in Oct 2010
Interview
It was more of an informal chat and a couple of questions on my experience and my abilities. I had very little experience at the time but still got the job! She also asked me to go out on the shop floor and ask a couple of customers to fill out a shop questionnaire to see how my communication and customer service skills were.
It was a group interview with fairly generic retail scenarios. It was straight forward and pretty relaxed, not intense at all. You can bounce off from other answers in the room!
Standard interview questions (past experience, what you're currently up to, availability) and a brief chat to get to know your character. Relaxed environment, one on one chat. They asked me questions based on my CV, e.g. what my previous roles were like and how I think it relates to TK Maxx.
