Interview
I went to the store and filled out an application. I was called about a week later and offered an interview. I accepted. I arrived and had to ask one of the girls who was on cashier what/where I should go. She called a manager and he me took back to the office. It was a very laid back interview. He was not demeaning or harsh in anyway. He asked me some simple questions about why I think I would be a good canidate for the job. He also asked what I had to do in my previous jobs that would help me with this job. Finshed the interview and he offered me the job.

Question 1
What did you do in your previous job that would help you in the position applied for?
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at TJ Maxx (Indianapolis, IN) in Jun 2010
Interview
It took them entirely too long to complete my background check because the company that they outsource that process to is less than competant. I had one interview, which was entirely reasonable. I would recommend that you read up on the company and recognize what an opportunity the corporation has in this economy. The work culture seems largely traditional but competant.
