I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Target (Louisville, KY) in Oct 2011
Interview
I applied online and a couple of days later I got a phone call which I missed, but listened to the message and immediately called back) the woman I talked to set up an interview a day later. I was interviewed by two friendly woman at different times. The interview were sort of short. Then a few dreadful minutes later the man whose office I was in came in and offered me the job and I accepted. I then filled out a couple of forms regarding the drug an background screening and the job offering form. I chose to take the drug test right after I left because they only give you 24 hrs and I was out already. After the drug screening process they called and set up an paid orientation which was just setting in a room with other new employees discussing rules and regulations then a tour of the store. I was on the schedule the next day.

I applied in-person. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Target (Hurst, TX) in Apr 2010
Interview
They called me the next day after I had submitted my application. There were two interviews (getting the second one is a good sign!) and I just smiled like my face was stuck that way, told them that efficiency is always a goal of mine, customer service was my number one priority, and that I'm very friendly and love meeting new people. they asked what my biggest weakness was (common question, be ready for it) and I responded with a less-than-cliche: I'm sometimes so focused on completing one task to perfection, that it takes me just a little longer to get it done than it should.
