I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Tesla in Feb 2024
Interview
HR reached out through LinkedIn and then a quick 30 mins call with them. They wanted to proceed further with me and call a technical interview with the Manager. He was overseas and kept canceling our interview and them sent me a message saying that I need to be flexible and ready to talk any time around 7 AM or 7 PM. This is such a disrespect to my time, so politely declined that option. Never heard from them again.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Tesla in Mar 2022
Interview
Recruiter interview, followed by a 1 on 1 interview 1 week later that lasted 1 hour,, then a panel interview with 7 people beginning with a 30 min presentation the following week on Teams

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Tesla (Sparks, NV) in Dec 2016
Interview
I was contacted by a company recruiter before speaking with hiring manager and eventually attending a site interview to meet the team. The phone interview with the hiring manager was very technical and focused on facility commissioning and sustaining operations engineering.
Due to the job site undergoing construction and early start-ups, the on-site interview was also very technical and the interview team comprised of design engineers, operations engineers, and technicians. I believe the team was seeking an engineer who demonstrates a clear understanding of tactical, day-to-day ops engineering to maintain factory support.
The conversations were honest, engaging, and mutual in nature. I learned a great deal of the team's needs and I was able to address them while leveraging my skillset. Simply put, the interview was a highly technical vetting process for a Facilities Engineer who may not be a Subject Matter Expert, but understands system operations.

Question 1
I was asked to develop a presentation topic 72 hours prior to the site interview that was relevant to the job description.
Additionally, I attended field walks to evaluate systems where I was asked to articulate what improvements I would implement if I was the acting System Owner.
