I applied online. I interviewed at Texas Instruments (Dallas, TX) in Jul 2016
Interview
The initial phone screen is purely behavioral. 6 questions about different situations dealing with you and other teammates and difficult situations. Mine was a recording.
The second set is a call with two engineers, they let you talk through a project. One engineer will ask more about the group structure and how decisions were made. The other engineer will ask technical details revolving around the project (problems, solutions, workarounds, etc.)
Lastly, you will be called on-site facing two 45 minute interviews with two pairs of managers. Similar to the interview from above but you will be expected to create a presentation. In this interview, you will be asked technical questions outside of your project as well.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Create a passive low pass filter, time, and frequency functions.
Very simple straightforward, 2 technical interviews, 1 behavioral. I first met them at a career fair after which I had a behavioral interview. After that I had two technical interviews with two people in each and then received my offer.
I applied through college or university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Texas Instruments (Dallas, TX) in Feb 2019
Interview
First Interview: On campus interview with two engineers following career fair.
Second Interview: Video conference interview with an engineering manager.
Third Interview: In person interview at the Dallas office with four engineering managers total. This interview was split into two with two managers conducting the interview at a time. A brief technical presentation is required for this portion. A short tour of that office was also given that day.
