I applied in-person. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at The UPS Store (San Antonio, TX) in Jan 2017
Interview
I talked with owner. They were very nice. The store was clean. We sat in the back while the interview process took place. It was laid back. The interviewers were dressed casually.
I applied online. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at The UPS Store (Oakville, ON) in Apr 2026
Interview
I booked an interview time-slot through indeed and practiced basic interview questions. Showed up 15 minutes early to the store and we started the interview right away, just tucked away on the side of the store. The first questions was "Tell me about yourself." The interviewer was very receptive. They made the interview feel more natural, like a conversation. We discussed relavent job experiences and a handful of situational questions were asked.
Like: how you deal with upset customers? how did you solve a problem in your workplace? I was also asked how I might approach the learning curve to dealing with packages when there are strict guidelines about what you can and can't do. Then, we discussed more basic things like the commute and wrapped up the interview! It wasn't just me talking about myself either, the employer took some time to describe the workplace. Overall, the interview probably lasted just under 20 minutes.
Dropped off resume in store, then met with the manager in person where they asked about my experience and availability and then after a few days I had a follow up call with the senior manager.
The interview was engaging and insightful, highlighting my skills, experience, and career goals. It provided an opportunity to discuss my strengths, clarify expectations, demonstrate enthusiasm for the role, and showcase my problem-solving abilities.
