I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Turing
Interview
They have a long process, but in case you are recruited, you go through less rounds.
- Contact through LinkedIn
- Initial interview with headhunter (20-30m)
- Register in their platform (quickly)
- Technical interview with live code challenge. (1h)
That was the worst part, I was dealing with a foreigner that had the worst accent ever and an even worst microphone sound, not only his sounds was muffled, but I could barely understand at all what he said and I'm used to dealing with international teams for a long time, and to top that, the guy actually sounded pissed that I could not understand his awful accent through his even worse microphone, I mean, if you gonna work remotely, at least invest a little bit in your setup.
Then there were a couple of challenges with some gotcha ya inside of it.
- If you manage to pass that horrible experience, after that, there are still client interviews and stuff like that.
I applied in-person. The process took 12 months. I interviewed at Turing in Aug 2021
Interview
There are too many irregularities, no proper communication and lack of transparency.
Also there are only contract based jobs so think twice before leaving your full- time positions.
And I am not sure how they schedule interviews and even with 3 mode of communication (email, watsapp and their web-app) they schedule interview for very next day at time of their own preference.
