I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Walmart (Bentonville, AR) in Feb 2019
Interview
Aced the initial HR phone interview. Recruited liked me and gave me a date to meet with the hiring managers. It was a panel interview over video call with 2 directors. I did very well in the interview and felt confident. I wasn't stumped on any question and had prepared. And the two of them seemed to like me. About 3 weeks later I contacted them to find out what my status was. They said they moved on and just never bothered letting me know. I thought that was a little rude. I found out later that big companies like this tend to already have people in mind for the position, but just have to meet a quota of the amount of people they need to interview to not seem biased.
The process included a screening, a conversation with the hiring manager, and then a series of other interviews. The call with the recruiter wasn't great.
I was asked to present myself and after I finished, they said that one of my talking points was particularly interesting. The only problem was that I never talked about that. The recruiter was on their phone and I could hear them texting on iMessage.
After a lengthy process, I received an automated rejection email.
Great process and prompt reponse even if i didnt get the job it was a good time and experience to be a part of all things considering. Will try to be in there again
I have only have a phone screener and it was a 15 minute call asking about my experience and expectations of the job. It was a very easy call but now waiting to hear if I am selected for an interview person interview.
