I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Wood Mackenzie (Lagos) in Jun 2022
Interview
It was rigorous and lasted for about 6 hours in total. The first was a 3o mins section that was just a chat, after that, was an online assessment, and finally was the 4-hour interview that included a written case study
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Conduct a case study based on a set of data from I think the Northsea
1. HR screeing call; 2. Interview with Director who would line manage the role; 3. Interview with the same Director, plus two others (+ a presentation). This interview was set up badly at their end (too far from the camera and mic). I was told at the end that they would be in touch but I never heard from them. For a 3-stage interview that's pretty poor behaviour from WoodMac, but also seems to be the experience of others.
My interview experience was quite positive. The panel was welcoming and asked insightful questions, making me feel at ease. I had the opportunity to showcase my skills and enthusiasm for the position. Overall, it was a constructive and engaging process.
