I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Zalando
Interview
Was just able to attend :

2. HR interview
As i understood from HR, after clearing round#2 , you still have 3 more rounds which consists of two coding rounds and one managerial round
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
1. Coding test was around 2 hours with following : Two coding questions and one question on performance improvement. Test was having medium questions mostly around Strings and HashMap
2. After passing Coding Round, there was interview with HR. Basically, the same question over glassdoor about how much you rate yourself in "x", what are your strengths, weekness , current work profile , etc
Though the HR round was Ok, I was still rejected :(
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Zalando (Berlin)
Interview
First a Java and SQL quiz as described in previous reviews. Second round a technical interview which was very packed with some questions that did not make sense for a developer interview, it is more like you should guess what the interviewer needs as an answer. Not much time left for the candidate to ask his/her questions - a bit rushed.
Third round a HR interview which was bad since the questions are very old style HR and the interviewer, even though she claims to have experience, was doing it like an intern. I was asked my salary expectation and I was rejected on this factor. The problem is that when do the quiz, you are asked to state your salary expectations. If you cannot stand up as a company to the salary requirements, why put the candidate in all this trouble?
Also there seems to be an internal lack of communication when the interviews are scheduled.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Zalando in Jun 2013
Interview
I got proposal via some of job searching sites. I was interested and applied to position. Then HR employee scheduled a phone interview for me. General questions, discussing relocation (from Russia) to Germany (one of four cities).
I was invited to online test which lasts about 40 minutes. General Java questions a couple of coding tasks.
Then I got a telephone call, another HR employee scheduled a technical interview.
That meeting was on Skype with three employees: HR, Java Development, Database Development. General HR questions, general Java questions, then Java coding task and a couple of Databases questions with SQL task.
All those interviews weren't so hard. However, they sent me an email that they couldn't push my application further, too many good candidates, blah-blah-blah, good luck:-).
I don't know exactly reason they declined my application. Maybe because of my relocation from Russia is an additional challenge for them. Maybe because I wasn't motivated enough. Maybe my technical skills weren't so good.
But I like how all process is organized, they are very experienced and professional people.
