I applied through other source. I interviewed at Zara (New York, NY) in Nov 2012
Interview
I showed up to an open house. There was a nice girl handing out applications. Was told to fill out application in a big room filled with about 55 people (Mostly Latina and African American Females). Waited about an hour for the group interview. Basically everybody went into another room where we were greeted by 2 Zara HR employee. First Group Question was " What is Inditex?I advise you to raise your hand first and answer: It is a Spanish based Fashion group that owns both Zara and Massimo Dutti. Zara is their best selling brand. They asked us ,when our name was called, to stand up and talk about yourself and what type of work experience you have. If you are attractive or you smiled and had a great personality, they payed more attention to you. After you speak about yourself, they ask about your availability. One lady said MARRIED!!WHOMP!! Overall it was very basic, just show up, smile and sell yourself even if you do not have experience.
After they told us the will email the applicants they have chosen in 2 weeks
I got the email the next day saying I was Hired and to come to an Orientation.
I wore ALl black slacks, turtle neck with a thin cheetah print belt( shirt kind covered it) and red pearl earring with a cute librarian Bun. I also had a cheetah scarf that popped and grabbed their attention.
Sophisticated but fashionable is a must. Don't look to business : )
The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Zara in Oct 2012
Interview
Attended a hiring fair with 20+ people. We all were escorted into a room where we were asked what we already knew about the company and to tell the group about ourselves. The whole thing was pretty quick.
