I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at eBay in Oct 2018
Interview
eBay discriminates and has biases, they make assumptions and look at them. They are still looking for personnel for both positions. No wonder.
I had an interview for Trust and Safety in October. Didn't pass. Worked hard on improving myself (CV, cover letter, interview preparation).
I applied in March for VIP Uber Buyer. At first I was given the interview then it was cancelled because they said the other interview (5 months prior) didn't go well.
Things change in 5 months and and the other 2 positions I have applied for were different. I even described my experience and my achievements and they couldn't care.
I was told to reapply for Trust and Safety. THEY told me. I did last week. Haven't heard from them.
All they did was discriminating me, making assumptions about me when they know nothing about me at all and don't even know how I work. I did recognise my mistakes and worked on correcting them and still they discriminated me. All they have is 1 interview and assumptions on someone they don't even know. Things change even within just 30 days.
So just be careful people. Whatever interview you get it will be impossible to apply for another even after 5-7-9 months or more, even if the interviews are different and you have worked hard in correcting your mistakes.
They will make it impossible for you to apply again because they make assumptions and don't give you another chance.
I wonder why they are still looking for people in the same positions I applied to including Trust and Safety.
Discrimination dear eBay is against the law if I am correct.
I had to put this review to let everyone know and prepare themselves in case something goes wrong and they wonder why they are not hired even for different positions after months from the previous interview
Two initial phone interviews with HR recruiters followed by panel interviews with Sr. Managers asking technical and behavioral questions. About 30-45 minute interview, followed by additional interviews with upper management.
