An early (and important in my opinion) question was where I begin with designs. Other questions followed along these lines, probing to see if I understood To analyze a given existing UI and make observations and suggestions about how to improve it, and how I would approach designing something like that.
There is a set of standard questions that interviewers are required to ask. They are pretty standards.
