A few weeks or months before my application for this sim. eng. position, I had applied for a different sw. dev. position. Soon after that, an HR colleague of the company had called me and we had had a short conversation about the position. Based on what I heard, the position was not so exciting to me as it was in the job advertisement. A few days later, I had informed them that I am not interested in that position anymore. I will refer to that position as "the other position" in this review below.
After I applied for the sim. eng. position, a HR colleague of the company called me, and told me that they received my new application, but they would like to interview me for the other position. I answered them in this call that I am not interested in the other position.
A few days or weeks later, they called me again, and said that they decided to have an interview with me. I had the impression that this was about the sim. eng. position. AFTER we agreed on the time, the date and the technical details of the interview, they told me that I have to know one more thing: this interview was not going to be for the sim. eng. position, but for the other position. I said them again: I am not interested in the other position.
A few days or weeks later, they called me again, and said that finally they are open to have an interview with me for the sim. eng. position. We made an appointment for an online interview. When I joined the interview, they started the conversation by telling me that the interview would not be for the sim. eng. position, but for the other position. This was highly outrageous and disrespectful, but I remained calm and I answered their interview questions professionally. At the end of the interview, I told them that I am still not interested in that other position, but interested in the sim. eng. position.
A few days or weeks later, we finally had an interview for the sim. eng. position. They had general questions in the soft skill and in the technical topics. The manager who participated in the interview, told me that he was on holiday that day. They had requested him to participate in that interview on his holiday...
A few days or weeks later, an HR colleague of the company told me that they would not hire me for the sim. eng. position, but they would like to send me an offer for the other position - but with lower salary than my salary demand for the sim. eng. position. I answered that I cannot accept that, moreover, I demanded a higher salary for this position that they considered me so highly suitable for. The HR colleague told me that they could not provide that amount, and asked me whether they should send me the offer in this case or not. I answered that no, they should not send me the offer.
After all these, my main impressions and experiences are very bad with this company, considering all the DISHONESTY, the LIES and the DECEPTION regarding the first online interview.
