      Pros

      Working at Aldi was great. My co-workers were friendly and my bosses were kind and accommodating. I was a hot mess when I started, especially with my ring speed, but they were patient with me and I improved a lot during my employment.

      Cons

      The environment was very hectic and it was common to be short staffed. This resulted in long lines at the register and not enough people working the floor. I do not believe this was management's fault, rather the shortage of retail employees due to the pandemic.

      Other employees at my store were really nice and fun to work with

      Cons

      You are basically timed on everything and there’s always something for you to do. Cashiers do everything in the store unlike other grocery stores where they just get to wait on people to come to their line. Also, I was expecting holiday pay for Christmas and New Years because I got HP previously in the year but because they gave us a $2 holiday premium for a month I did not get the time and a half HP. Only found out when I got my paycheck.

      Pros

      The pay is decent, better than you would get from other locations.

      Cons

      Managers can absolutely make or break your experience, customers treat you very poorly and you might not get any support from managers, cashiers are expected to do the entire sweeping, mopping, bathroom, break room, office, and front end cleaning alone during closing shifts.
