Pros

Good pay for role, decent benefits package, not too overly 'corporate' acti ng

Cons

**THIS IS SPECIFIC TO MKT H'BRO STORE - I started at Kettering and had no issues there** Constant management turnover (up to area manager level) so no consistency, understaffed, occasional 'casual' bullying from management ("it's just banter, don't take it so personally!), ZERO training or advancement (and I mean for all staff below mgmt, not just me) for 1.5yrs... I could go on but I won't!

Pros

Competitive pay Paid vacation Good health benefits

Cons

Hard to get promoted Every year we work another holiday They are changing to make it harder for employees and paying less They took vacation away from us when they changed policy. They took away sun premium pay. Changed pay structure so new employees take much longer to cap out. They are money grabbing from their employees. Becoming more and more like walmart.

Pros

good benefits, if you lucky you meet great people to work with.

Cons

this job is just endless responsibility for everything. district managers are without experience , (worked with 6 in 5 years) , if you are store manager or manager trainee you dont have private life..they blame you for everything, no support from them..dont care about anything, just give you a feedback what is wrong and you have to fix it.. turnover in this company is huge, cashiers work for 3 people, if they call out, you need to find a coverage..if you dont, it is up to you finish their job...must be on the phone 24/7.. not worth it the money..they want more and more things done without people..
