Cons

Pros

Pay is great, you get overtime for every hour you work over 8 hours everyday, but the job itself and management is very demanding and not for the weak. If you like being a robot at work, not knowing when you will get off that day, or being put where you don’t want to be, this is for you. Typical warehouse job I guess.

Cons

Told in interview you would only work 30-40 hours a week, turned in to 5 days a week at least 10-12 sometimes 14 hour shifts. They also assign you to either dry side or cooler/freezer, but if you get dry side, you will most likely be in the cooler against your wishes because of your place on the totem poll. No one wants to work in the cooler/freezer so people always quit, meaning short staffed, so everyday you go to work thinking you’ll be in the dry warm side but they throw you in to the cooler for your whole 12 hour shift. Even after over a year there with seniority and still being put in the cooler because you’re not high enough on the seniority list. You will probably get hired for the cooler/freezer, then they open bids for you to move to dry side when they have openings. You think you have finally gotten to where you want to be but no. Everyday you have to go to the cooler/freezer, again. You want to drive a forklift? Good luck. You’ll have to be there 20 years before you get to do that because it’s based off seniority also and all the drivers in the Center Valley, PA warehouse are old women who refuse to retire.

Pros

Good pay for the work that’s done. Hours aren’t bad either.

Cons

No avenue for progression available within company. Limited roles to progress to.
