Pros

Good salary, 40 vacations days, very good pension plan and insurance, flexible work hours (including working from home), good work/life balance mentality, 14-20 % profit sharing, stock share program, semi-annual automatic (small) pay raises by the 'CAO', bicycle plan, very smart and friendly colleagues, enthousiastic drive for the customer and technology, possibility to travel to customers worldwide, possibility for horizontal movement (different roles/sectors) and vertical growth (leadership/management), very professional company with great care for its employees (ethics and cultures). IMHO, ASML is one of the strongest and best employers in NL, especially in the technical sector. I'm a long-time ASML fixed employee and I will probably not leave until retirement!

Cons

Large company, so there's some unavoidable beaurocracy and many management layers. Rather rigid salary scales, so you really need to prove yourself to raise in them. Work can often be quite hectic and a flexible (agile) mindset is recommended.

Pros

'Good secondary benefits; many different projects; move to other groups within R&D is easy.

Cons

Bullying happened to several female engineers in my group (openly). The same guy was the culprit. The group and the management did not intervene. Management.made him even team leader! Advice of a male senior colleague after asking advice: "don't wake the dogs".

Female Engineer in R&D

Pros

Lots of R&D projects for engineers who wants to develop technically.

Cons

As a female R&D engineer, I lived the same problem of Uber former employee. The group manager put lots of pressure on me with his words. In addition to that, during lunch, other colleagues told me they saw me in their dreams. I made lots of complaints. No one cares! I changed 4 projects in 3 years time! I heard once manager touched one of the women engineers legs in my group. She did not make any complaint because she was from the middle east and afraid of losing her job. Finally, one of my colleagues made racist-sexist remarks and I made an official complaint to official government office. What happened? I was fired!
