Pros

Good for people just graduated from university so that they can understand how projects run, how technical products are generated

Cons

Most of the people lack soft skills; this will hurt the company on the long term since people at leadership positions have the same weakness as well. No real investment on people’s growth on soft skills and leadership, it is mainly hard skills oriented which is already the best strength of the majority of the employees.

Pros

People, intriguing problem, precision improvement, continuing education policy, medical, vision, dental, 401k, holiday, vacation, and shift differential. ASML is a great company and lithography is an interesting problem to solve. If you are interested in this aspect of the semiconductor industry there is no better lithography company.

Cons

Computer Based Trainings, internal fab communication between groups, and improvement approach. The way you are assessed is stressful. Learning various aspects of the machine is best learned hands-on or in training not during a 1 hour lecture or by computer based trainings. The local fab team always needs to pick up the slack for the upgrades team and install team. In addition, the part ordering process is a problem. Management has been doing a good job realizing these issues though. The approach to improvement seems to be very customer driven, make smaller transistors, which is why ASML commands majority of the lithography market. Unfortunately, the same software problems go unnoticed model to model and energy efficiency: energy input to energy output is ignored.
