Pros

Coworkers are smart and professional. Non toxic environment. The compensation is decently competitive though not leading compared to big tech firms. Generous bonus. The San Diego EUV technology is interesting to work on. There are opportunities for people to learn new career skills within their projects, and they can also job-hop around the company to try different roles. Mostly good work-life balance though some people have wake up early for calls to EU headquarters and have to plan around this. Hybrid work. I've been steadily trusted with more responsibilities and am thankful. Even though I could probably earn more elsewhere, the low stress, hybrid work, and high trust in my role keeps me here.

Cons

While skill growth opportunities are good, career growth in terms of promotions and higher-than-normal raises is hard to come by. In response, the company has distributed career path charts showing what positions you could move into but it still isn't clear what actions employees can take to earn that move. Best chance is to build your skills, credibility, and networking in current role for several years, and then find an opening for a more senior role in an adjacent group and apply for transfer.

Pros

Great benefits, lots of different roles to move into if you wanted a change.

Cons

You will most likely end up in burn-out leave, which is unfortunately very common. Too big of a company, you will get lost and it is hard to progress. Hard to meet people as when you meet someone you will probably never see them again.
