Big company with lots of growing options for the developer but logically lacking freedom in writing code.

Pros

Huge company where you could grow in all directions, from software tester to product architect to project lead. The company has a good reputation and you are really working on hi-tech machines.

Cons

Since the company has 12000 developers, developing code can be somewhat slow. Everything needs documentation and most software projects don't give you the chance to developing something from the ground up.

Pros

Very technical, engaging and exciting environment. ASML is a place where you get to work along side very bright engineers. Very good organizational structure.

Cons

Harder to grow. Most people have been there for 20+ years. Another thing which is mainly personal, compensation is not adequate to the workload.
