Pros

I enjoy my job. I am learning new things. Co-workers are friendly and very smart. Team lead or leadership is questionable but at the very least they keep to themselves. I enjoy coding, but I was never told about the customer service aspect, servicing "customer" tickets. It doesn't take too much time, but it's annoying that it takes away from coding time, especially if you're new. This was never disclosed. Pay is good admittedly. The benefits not so much (I'm Flex, so they treat us as sub-contractors in essence). Opted out of benefits. The hours are flexible, however. No one is babysitting you, or breathing down your neck. At least at my project (be aware that Accenture works with all sorts of clients with different projects). Opportunity to work from home from time to time, which is nice.

Cons

As a Flex employee, you don't get the same job security other Accenture employees have. You are not incentivized to go above and beyond to potentially score promotions, as you can't get promoted as a Flex employee. You basically have a contract end date and after it, you can easily become unemployed. Whereas regular Accenture employees would be sent to the bench and helped by recruiters to find another project. As a Flex employee, you have to re-apply to a different job, as if you hadn't been hired by Accenture previously, in essence, no help from recruiters or anyone. It doesn't matter how good you are or how well you are liked. I think I'd appreciate Accenture more had I been brought in as a regular Accenture employee. So I feel in essence no particular loyalty, other than to get the bare minimum of my job aspects done. I clock in and once I clock out, Accenture is just another faceless company to me. Just as I am a faceless sub-contractor employee to them. Other Flex employees, that I am in contact with, feel similar to how I feel as well. My plan is to basically bail ship a couple of months before my contract end date nears. Leadership says all of Accenture's employees have contract end dates and that unless you're horrible they are usually renewed. Perhaps this is true for regular Accenture employees but not for Flex. I've read the complete opposite online, repeatedly. My manager had limited knowledge of Flex, so, unfortunately, I do not believe them at all. Nor should you. Look out for you.

Pros

Large clients, Stable company, Good for learning management & consulting

Cons

Low salary Bureaucracy, Too regular unnecessary online training that people tend to skim through (no quality content) Arbitrary increasing equality in the company, not matching the industry male to female ratio.
