Pros

None, was rather disappointed to relocate to Cape Town for a big tech company for an offer that was not all that great.

Cons

Share value declined and did not perform as projected which meant the RSU share comp portion was disappointing. The work rate is not sustainable long term, the underlying technology is not robust and so you will carry out a lot of maintenance and repairs in a day You are stretched thin most of the time. The average annual increase was 1.5% for my whole team in south Africa where the inflation rate is much higher and so that sets you back financially especially living in Cape Town. A lot of travel across Data Centers No allowances and shift meals like the rest of the AWS Data centers in other regions
