Pros

good pay but when you leave before 2 years, nothing paid as they are from stocks. eventually it is the same pay as others if you leave before two years

Cons

No time for family life, very hard to make anyone happy, only two weeks leave per year. hard to get time off.

Pros

1.Good work environment I like the open space 2. You can work from home anytime 3. Tons of overtime meaning tons of workload

Cons

0. Frugality is one of Amazon core value what a stupid policy no wonder why Jeff is becoming the third richest man in the world. 1. Tons of Automation, you become like a machine and you don't use you brain anymore like smaller companies with traditional network and no automation 3. No free parking like Microsoft, Google..etc in Seattle 4. no juice or any other perks like Facebook, Microsoft, nothing but Coffee. 5. Micromanaging people as if we are high school students. 6. I don't understand but the attitude of people I worked with is I know better than you know and each time I ask a question they answer you with a question become exhausting when you deal with such attitude on daily basis. 7. High turnover because they don't want to employees to cash all the stock after four years they want you to leave after two years in any way possible but putting tons of work load on you or give you boring tasks. 8. Repetition everyday you deal with the same issues and same process and procedure and it becomes really boring after 6 months because you repeat your self everyday. 9. Newcomers or junior network engineer don't start at Amazon thinking it will teach you networking it will teach you nothing at all when it comes to Networking. start with small to med size companies you will learn hell a lot of things! 10. they don't offer Orca card for vendors as opposed to Microsoft. 11. yes you get paird overtime but you sometimes requested to work weekends

Work Hard, Play Hard

Pros

Amazon's moniker to work hard and play hard is no joke, they will work your butt off the moment you walk through the doors. With that said though, they are very flexible in anything that is going on in life to help you.

Cons

The stock options take 3 years to vest, so that carrot on a stick is kind of annoying.
