Pros

- Laser focused on execution - Actions are never open loop. Market and customer signals pretty much always close it - Good growth opportunities for generalists - Transparency - Opportunities to learn about different aspects of the company. Example, marketing, finance, etc

Cons

- In my experience, not the best place for those who want to specialize in their careers

Pros

- Many things at Applied I have not seen elsewhere: values are tied to manager performance, 'table' concept for decisions, team for growth and happiness, custom software to run the company - Best technical team and all around people I've worked with, very authentic - Managers / leads actually seem to know what they are doing both engineering wise and in the business sense - Never laughed as much at work, day to day culture is much more lighthearted than one would expect in a hard tech company - The company actually identifies and fixes problems in products and inside the company - Lots and lots of learning

Cons

- Company is buttoned up and that isn't for everyone (very pedigreed, everyone dresses well, people work hard without being asked). Almost like a midwest engineering company based in California - Expectations are high so can feel intense - Maniacal customer focus means you work on customer schedules

Pros

- Strong and talented team across the board, from eng to marketing to design. - Experienced leadership, but humble and clearly open to throwing out broken processes - In a growing industry with exciting challenges, a stellar product, and lots of customer demand - Plenty of leadership opportunities, and a lot to learn in every part of the company

Cons

- Hours can be tough during crunch time, but it is being fixed.
