Pros

When parts are coming in, expect to work between 50-60 hours per week. When parts are not coming in, which can be fairly common occurrence, hours may get cut short into the 30-40 hour range. As long as you do your due diligence in getting your work done properly and SAFELY, your supervisors will be pretty hands off. Upper management and supervisors take safety extremely seriously above all else, which is very comforting to know. The machines that technicians work on are extremely complex to test and troubleshoot, but everyone in the department, from coworkers to supervisors to engineering are all very helpful in helping one another with solving problems together. I've never felt afraid to ask questions nor rushed whenever I was stuck on something, since the main objective was to move products out the other in safe and efficient manner.

Cons

Long work hours can be very taxing. An uninterrupted work week will consist of 6 days with 10 hour shifts. You'll be earning lots of money,

Pros

Learn about semiconductor industry and sjw bs

Cons

Terrible corporate culture and corporate policies. The Austin manufacturing middle management and supervisors have been there too long and have lost their effectiveness. I was hired to be a final test technician and was subsequently put in a manufacturing position after being hired!! I spent the first three months wrapping and shipping chambers without getting the opportunity to test semiconductor equipment!! How insulting!!! If you’re a white person you’ll get no warm reception on the floor !! This company is fully woke and California crazy commie committed!

Pros

No pros of this job.

Cons

The management level doesn’t care about the career path of engineers. They just abuse engineers to work on hands-on stuff. Short-sighted and narrow-minded.
