Pros

Multinational company with presence in very diverse industries Great opportunities for career development and job rotation Great geographical flexibility (you can pretty much plan to work in any country in the world) Protective of its employees and their needs (great work-life balance opportunities)

Cons

Bureaucracy Slow speed of decisions (and then changes to decisions) Compensation practices could be better Certain pockets still work through 'kiss-up-promotions' (sad but true!)

Pros

Respect for the people, a diversified environment to work and a fair support for the work / life balance, my working schedule is flexible. The reason for working at Bayer HealthCare is the constant training that gives you opportunities in enhancing your own working area's skills and Bayer HealthCare also gives you freedom in choosing additional lessons of your own interest. As Bayer HealthCare is in pharmaceutical industry, you can expect a relatively safe working place among other industries when there's a economic crisis, but it doesn't mean Bayer won't fire anybody, it's just a huge massive layoff is unlikely to happen.

Cons

No benefit, not enough salary, no compensation at all.

Pros

Bayer has accumulated great people from all over the CPG/OTC industry and put them together in one place. The culture is supportive and one can almost always assume positive intent. Great pains are taken to ensure continued employee growth and development. Random firings or layoffs are unimaginable, and the comapny reorganizations take place less frequently than at competitors and with less attrition.

Cons

The great culture and low turnover allow the company to underpay vs other consumer pharma and make it more difficult to advance. Many departments are top-heavy. The company is slow to get rid of employees who are on the wrong bus, despite how obvious it may be to those around them.
