Pros

-decent benefit, good work life balance -good training to prepare you for the job -generally great and supportive co-workers

Cons

It seemed Bayer made a huge mistake acquiring Monsanto and could not settle the Roundup lawsuits in the near future. Their stock has not been doing well lately as a result. Our yearly bonus can be cut. Hiring freeze and layoffs seemingly always loom ahead.

Pros

Lots of smart people to work with on exciting science.

Cons

Conglomerate who operates in many countries. Bonuses can be impacted by exchange rates, other parts of the business, etc that you have no impact on. Just look at the stock price. Lots of layoffs recently.
