Pros

- Pantry & Benefits - A little higher than avg salary - Young, energetic, smart colleagues

Cons

- EXTREMELY micro managed (Is literally a "stalking" internal system, badge in- out of the office) - Rude and arrogant upper management - Is all about "sucking up" to the manager/TL, your performance is 99% rated on how much your boss adores you. - As a sales, your revenue target has nothing to do with your compensation. Even those who brings in a minimal revenue has a higher bonus than those who contributes a lot more. Again, it depends on what they call "manager's discretion" (i.e. how much your boss loves you).

Pros

smart people, nice perks( food, benefits, building, access to bloomberg terminal), ownership of software, access to training materials and courses

Cons

Expectation of long hours, software is rushed out with many faults and developers expected to fix them immediately (i.e. middle of the night), disjointed software infrastructure, bad software process, disorganized midlevel management.. Support functions minimal ( no test teams, HR is not responsive, enterprise software is frequently confusing)

Pros

- Excellent benefits, better than any other corporate in South Africa if not the best - Flexible working hours, starting between 7-9am - Very very long term incentive plans - International travel once you enter the management structures - Willing to relocate to international offices if the need arises

Cons

- Global Data department is extremely limited, there are very few outs and even fewer growth opportunities within the department unless you choose management - Management is the only way to really grow in the company, with respect to compensation and career growth - Uncompetitive salary with minimal initial increases - Opaque compensation reviews (not negotiable) and peer performance reviews - No focus on growing employee skills and product knowledge peaks after six months - No form of mentorship whatsoever - Management are big-headed and unwilling to acknowledge failures or errors in judgement - Nepotism and self-preservation is far too common
