Outstanding work environment; the leadership of the school truly cares about providing a quality education to German staff officers.

Cons

Positions at the school are all government-related, so they are not open to the general public.

Good tough training! You get to work with professionals at every level.

Cons

Sometimes you spend a lot of time sitting around doing nothing or just cleaning your equipment after a few days in the woods. Lack of money for training and ammunition!! Often had no ammo to go shooting because there was no money. That is simply ridiculous considering that paratroopers should be an elite unit. Also if you don't stay long enough you will miss you on certain training opportunities because again the Bundeswehr does not want to spend money for you.

You get challenged to explore your limits and discover things about yourself. The training is thorough and is not only sharpening your skills but also developing your character.

Cons

Huge organisation with enormous bureaucratic processes. HRM is virtually non existant. Performance is not rewarded and the frequency of changes of station are too high.
